Your Crypto Security is Our Priority
Military-Grade Encryption, Security Audits, Non-Custodial Protection
Security isn't a feature. It's a requirement. Meton Wallet is built on the principle that your crypto is your asset — backed by military-grade encryption and Security audits.
Security Foundation
- Non-custodial (you control your funds)
- AES-256 encryption (military-grade)
- Continuous automated security scanning
- Open-source security components
- Regular penetration testing
- GDPR & CCPA compliant
How We Protect Your Crypto
The single most important security decision: non-custodial architecture.
Traditional Exchange (Custodial)
- You send crypto to exchange
- Exchange holds your private keys
- Exchange controls your funds
- If exchange is hacked → Your funds are STOLEN
Meton Wallet (Non-Custodial)
- You create wallet on your device
- Your device generates private keys
- You keep your private keys
- Meton never sees your keys
- If Meton is hacked → Your funds are SAFE
Real Advantage
You're not trusting Meton with your funds. You're trusting Meton to not interfere with your funds. Zero third-party integrations means minimal attack surface — and no token-freezing risk. Ever.
Military-Grade Encryption
Three layers of encryption protect your crypto at rest, in transit, and end-to-end.
AES-256 Encryption
The same encryption used by the U.S. government, military, NSA, and banks. 256-bit key length — 2²⁵⁶ possible combinations. Practically unbreakable.
What's Protected
- Private keys
- Seed phrases
- Passwords
- Personal information
TLS 1.3 In Transit
Encrypts all data traveling over the internet. Man-in-the-middle attacks are impossible. Even intercepted traffic is unreadable gibberish.
What's Protected
- All server connections
- API calls
- Sync operations
- Push notifications
End-to-End Encryption
Data is encrypted on YOUR device and stays encrypted until only you decrypt it. Even Meton employees cannot see your data.
What's Protected
- Encrypted on device
- Server stores encrypted only
- Only you can decrypt
- Zero plaintext exposure
Independent Security Verification
We don't just say we're secure — we prove it through independent third-party audits.
Audit Scope
- Smart contract security
- API security
- Data protection
- Encryption implementation
- Authentication systems
- Key management
- Compliance with standards
Audit Schedule
- ContinuousAutomated vulnerability scanning
- Every commitStatic code analysis
- Every releaseDependency security checks
- QuarterlyManual code reviews
Continuously Scanned, Every Release
Every line of code and every update runs through automated security scanning before it ships — Trivy for vulnerability scanning, Snyk for dependency security, and Semgrep for static code analysis. Nothing reaches your device until it passes.

Security FAQ
Answers to the most common security questions.
Can Meton Access My Private Keys?
No. Non-custodial means your keys stay on your device. Meton never sees them. This is by design.
What If Meton Is Hacked?
Your crypto is safe. Your keys are on your device, encrypted. Even if servers are compromised, your keys are protected.
How Do I Know Meton Is Secure?
Every line of code and every update is automatically scanned before release with Trivy, Snyk, and Semgrep. Regular penetration testing. Non-custodial architecture means we never hold your keys in the first place.
Should I Use Meton for Large Amounts?
Yes. Non-custodial security is best for any amount. For maximum security: use hardware wallet + Meton for daily use.
What If I Lose My Recovery Seed?
Your crypto is lost. Unrecoverable. No customer service can help. This is why you must back it up safely in multiple locations.
Can Someone Hack My Wallet?
To hack your wallet, they need your device + your biometric + your recovery seed. All three together? Nearly impossible.
What If My Device Gets Malware?
Recovery seed is safe (not on device). Private keys are encrypted. Biometric protects transactions. Malware can't steal encrypted keys.
Should I Use Meton or Hardware Wallet?
Both. Hardware wallet for savings (maximum security). Meton for daily spending (convenience + good security).
Is Crypto Security Better or Worse Than Banks?
Different trade-offs. Banks: convenient recovery, regulatory protection, but trust banks. Crypto: maximum control, no recovery, you're responsible.
How Often Should I Update Meton?
Always immediately. Updates include security patches. Older versions have known vulnerabilities that attackers exploit.
