What's a Recovery Seed?
A recovery seed is a 24-word phrase that controls ALL your crypto across ALL blockchains. If you lose your phone, your recovery seed lets you restore your entire wallet on any device. Guard it with your life — whoever has your seed has access to all your crypto.
How Do I Back Up My Recovery Seed?
When you create a wallet, Meton displays your 24-word recovery seed. Write it down on paper. Store the paper in a safe place (safe deposit box, home safe). Never: store it on your computer, take a digital photo, type it into websites, or share it with anyone.
What if I Forget My PIN?
Your PIN unlocks your wallet. If you forget it, you can reset it using your recovery seed: go to Settings, tap "Reset Wallet," enter your 24-word recovery seed, and set a new PIN. Your crypto is safe because it's backed by your seed, not your PIN.
What if I Lose My Phone?
Your crypto is safe as long as you have your recovery seed. Download Meton Wallet on a new device, choose "Restore from Seed," enter your 24-word recovery seed, and your entire wallet is restored. Set a new PIN and you're back in control.
Can I Restore My Wallet on Multiple Devices?
Yes. Use your recovery seed to restore your wallet on as many devices as you want. All devices can access the same crypto. Important: each device is separate — changes on one device don't automatically sync to others.
Is There a Way to Keep My Seed Backed Up Online?
Not safely. Cloud backups and encrypted digital backups carry risks. The safest backup is writing your seed on paper and storing it physically in a secure location.
